  • Talk title: How do you make a technology useful and usable?

    Talk by Dr Friederike Jöhlinger

Talk abstract: At Wave Photonics we work on developing an extensive component library (PDK) for integrated photonics, including component designs for a range of materials, wavelengths, polarisations, etc. However, just designing a large number of highly optimised components is not enough to make the PDK useful and sellable. To create an actual product, you need to ensure your innovation is accessible to users and can, for example, integrate with existing design flows.

  • How to get published, Sara Bebbington

  • My Journey into a Career in Quantum, Dr David Roberts

  • Sparrow Quatum- and the winding road that led me there, Dr Sofie Hansen

Abstract: In this talk I will give a thorough introduction to the technology that serves as the core of Sparrow Quantum. Furthermore, I will talk about my personal journey that has led me to join a quantum startup as a business developer.

  • Photonic Quantum Computing based on Award-Winning Techology, Jonas Philipps

  • Workng in Quantum without a PhD, Harry Bromley
